Dos Anjos will return from a two-year-long layoff to face Alexander Hernandez at UFC 332 (Paramount+) on Oct. 3 at Delta Center in Salt Lake City. A person with knowledge of the situation confirmed the booking to MMA Junkie but asked to remain anonymous, as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. Dos Anjos (32-17 MMA, 21-15 UFC), a former UFC lightweight champion, hasn't competed since injuring his knee in a TKO loss to Geoff Neal in October 2024 – his third setback in a row. The 41-year-old had to undergo three surgeries to repair a torn ACL and meniscus.
Hernandez (18-9 MMA, 10-8 UFC) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Rafa Garcia at UFC Fight Night 274 in April. Prior to that, the 33-year-old was on a four-fight winning streak – including finishes of Chase Hooper and Diego Ferreira.
