Vea has signed a one-year, $30 million deal that will keep him in Tampa. The 31-year-old had requested a trade at the start of training camp.
The veteran defensive tackle reportedly preferred a move to one of the three California teams, or the Las Vegas Raiders. The Chargers were frequently mentioned as a logical landing spot, as they could have used an upgrade to their interior defensive line and had adequate salary cap **** e.
Howerver, that will no longer be the case.
