We all know the Celtics have had star players over the years, such as Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, who do most of the heavy lifting, but the role players and supporting cast have done their part as well.
It's arguably just as important to have quality players off the bench and around the stars, as it's a team sport that teams rarely find success in when only one or two players thrive.
The Celtics have mastered the supporting cast role/s well in the past, and they'll need it now more than ever in the 2026-27 season, with changes to the roster having taken place this summer.
The Celtics are going to rely on getting production from players like Payton Pritchard and Derrick White this season, but they'll need their second unit to bring something to the table while some of the big names rest.
