The Los Angeles Rams aren't taking any chances with Puka Nacua as their star wide receiver works his way back from a lower back injury.
Head coach Sean McVay said the Rams are taking Nacua's recovery day by day and won't rush him back onto the practice field while he continues to experience soreness.
Nacua left Los Angeles' joint practice against the Dallas Cowboys last Tuesday after experiencing discomfort. McVay said Nacua "still has some soreness," leaving open the possibility that he may not return to practice until next week.
Last Thursday, McVay described the issue as "a little soreness" in Nacua's psoas, a muscle connecting the lower spine to the thigh bone. At the time, McVay said he anticipated Nacua returning the following week.
