Whitefish Bay High School alumnus Mitch Voit didn't need any easing in upon arrival at Class AA Binghamton in the New York Mets organization.
Voit, 21, has spent two weeks at Double-A and won Eastern League Player of the Week both times, marking a pretty impressive first impression for the No. 6 prospect in the organization according to MLB Pipeline.
Voit, drafted No. 38 overall in the 2025 draft out of the University of Michigan, went 11-for-18 from Aug. 3 to Aug. 9, with a .682 on-base percentage and a 1.460 OPS in five games. He doubled three times, stole three bases, walked four times, drove in four runs and scored a whopping nine runs.
That included a 5-for-6 performance with five runs scored Aug. 6, tying the Binghamton record for most hits and most runs in a game.
Voit has reached base in all 11 games at Double A and gotten a hit in nine of them, good for a .550 average and a 1.483 OPS. He has one homer, nine RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has an .834 OPS this season across his two levels.
