PSG have signed Aston Villa left-back Lucas Digne (33), both clubs have announced. The back-to-back Champions League winners have triggered Digne's release clause, which was valued at €10m. The 33-year-old is making a return to the French capital after spending two seasons at PSG between 2013 and 2015. Digne will also reunite with Luis Enrique, after the latter coached the former at FC Barcelona ten years ago.
Digne has signed a three-year deal with PSG. The France international left-back is expected to act as Nuno Mendes' back-up in the French capital, with Lucas Hernandez shifting to a centre-back role. Digne leaves Aston Villa as an Europa League winner. He joined the Birmingham-based club in 2022 from Premier League rivals Everton to make 182 appearances with Villa.
