It has been an emotional day for Inter Miami following the passing of Lionel Messi's father, Jorge Messi.
And, with Messi absent from Saturday's match against Monterrey, there was simply no better way for Rodrigo De Paul to honour his close friend and teammate.
De Paul scored the opening goal for Miami, driving a low, long-range strike into the bottom-left corner.
The veteran midfielder ran away in celebration while removing his shirt to reveal Messi's iconic number ten underneath.
