Is Buffalo Bills running back Ray Davis a player to target late in fantasy football drafts this year?
Perhaps he may be?
Pro Football Focus included Davis in their list of late-round running backs with the potential to become starting-caliber players on a weekly basis at some point next season.
"Davis is expected to see more work this season, likely closer to his rookie usage. That still would not be enough to make him worth starting in the vast majority of leagues. His value this year lies in being Cook's handcuff. If Cook were to get hurt, Davis would likely step into the lead role, though Johnson could cut into that work, as could Frank Gore Jr., who has spent a few seasons on Buffalo's practice squad and would presumably become the third back."
Davis recorded 442 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns in 2024. His numbers dipped in 2025. He registered 275 rushing yards and went without a rushing touchdown on the year.
