Arizona Cardinals fans will have to wait to see their top draft pick play for the first time at least another week. Running back Jeremiyah Love will not play in the Hall of Fame Game on Thursday in the team's preseason opener against the Carolina Panthers.
Head coach Mike LaFleur made that announcement on Wednesday, noting roughly 30 players in total would not play.
What does that mean?
Don't expect any projected starters or any of the key rotational players. Don't expect any player who is even remotely banged up.
