The New Orleans Saints are still in the early stages of training camp, but one of the team's newest additions, former Buffalo Bills guard David Edwards, believes the offense is already beginning to establish its identity on the ground.
Speaking with the media after practice, the veteran offensive lineman said the biggest strength of the Saints' backfield is that every running back brings something different, giving the coaching staff plenty of options when building the rushing attack.
He pointed to new Saints running back Travis Etienne Jr. as a player whose patience separates him.
"I think the beauty of Travis is his ability to start and stop and kind of have this patience behind the line of scrimmage as well as at the line of scrimmage," he said. "Then make a decision and go is really special and unique."
He also praised Alvin Kamara's ability to change a game with one touch.
