Everton are in the process of signing ***** nal midfielder Christian Norgaard. With the departure of Idrissa Gana Gueye, there was a vacancy in the squad for a defensive midfielder.
The Danish international made his name with Brentford over six seasons, making 196 appearances and was for the last two seasons before his transfer to ***** nal last summer for £10million, and a further £2m in add-ons.
Under Mikel Arteta at the Gunners, Norgaard only featured 20 times, with just seven of those appearances in the Premier League.
Norgaard would be a classic David Moyes signing, with the 32-year-old bringing Premier League experience and veteran savvy to the squad, along with his work rate and gritty playing style.
Per The Athletic, the transfer fee is about £7million, with an agreement in principle between the two teams and the Dane expected to have his medical next week.
