A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona has made his way firmly onto the transfer radar of Premier League giants Manchester City.
The Blaugrana star in question? Marc Bernal.
Man City, for their part, are currently working on something of a revolution in the club's engine room ranks. Both Mateo Kovačić and Nico González are understood to have been placed on the market, with World Cup winner Rodri also being heavily linked with a potential Real Madrid switch.
Those in a position of power at The Etihad are therefore on the hunt for reinforcements with a view to next season.
And as alluded to above, amid this ongoing search, the gaze of those in the boardroom on the blue half of Manchester has this week turned towards Barcelona.
