SRYACUSE 5, SCRANTON/WILKES-BARRE 4 (BOX)
Syracuse went down early in this game, trailing 2-0 after one. That 2-0 deficit held until the fourth, where a three run inning powered by a Ronny Marucio solo home run, an Eric Wagaman RBI ground out, and a run scoring throwing error gave them a lead. The RailRiders would tie it in the bottom of the frame and take a 4-3 lead in the sixth, but a two run single by Wagaman gave the Mets a 5-4 lead in the eighth inning that would stick.
SS Ronny Mauricio: 2-4, 2 R, 2B, HR (8), RBI, E (6)
DH MJ Melendez: 0-2, 2 R, 2 BB, K
LF Nick Morabito: 0-2, R, 2 BB, SB (31)
