Mike Maignan and Adrien Rabiot's 2026 World Cup journey with France has come to an end at the semi-final stage, as Les Bleus were defeated 2–0 by Spain in Dallas. Maignan played the full 90 minutes, beaten in the first half by an Oyarzabal penalty and in the second by Pedro Porro; Rabiot played 45 minutes before being replaced by Koné at half time. France will still play one more match in the tournament: the third-place playoff against either England or Argentina.
