Conor McGregor stepped into the octagon for the first time in five years at UFC 329, looking to reclaim his former glory. Unfortunately, it appeared McGregor blew out his knee, ending the fight against Max Holloway before it could even begin.
The energy inside the T-Mobile Arena was palpable. McGregor, who recovered from a broken tibia in his left leg suffered in 2021, went for a running kick in the opening seconds. Right after, things didn’t seem right.
It appeared McGregor blew out his right knee. He was slipping through the fight, and Holloway even tried to see what was wrong.
McGregor was in pain with each step, and the referee finally called it after about a minute into the fight. It was a brutal blow to McGregor and the UFC following a great night of fights.
