PATERSON – From Ironman to 12th Man.
Flanked by his father Keith and his mother Josie Payoute, Don Bosco standout linebacker Mikahi Allen announced his commitment to Texas A&M July 11 at the Fast Break Sports Bar in Paterson in a live broadcast on CBS Sports College Football’s YouTube channel.
Allen carried a black briefcase to the table with a sticker on it that read “Top Secret.” He said it was his mom’s idea.
“I have no idea where she got it,” Allen said smiling.
He then pulled out a Texas A&M cap while his mom waved a Texas A&M towel. A large crowd had gathered for the event that was billed as his commitment ceremony slash birthday party.
