The Renaissance Club hosts second-round action of the Genesis Scottish Open on Friday, with a loaded field of players vying for the top prize from a $9 million purse.
Chris Gotterup is looking to become the first player to successfully defend the Scottish Open crown, Gotterup, who is also going for back-to-back wins after capturing the John Deere Classic last weekend, shot an opening round 2-under 68.
He trails a crowded leaderboard that features Rory McIlory, who was runner-up to Gotterup last year but has won at Renaissance Club before. McIlory shares part of the lead after carding a 65 on Thursday.
Golf Channel will have live coverage of the second round beginning at 11 a.m. ET.
