Prince Harry is allegedly hoping to heal one royal rift. According to a new claim, he has encouraged Meghan Markle to reconnect with Kate Middleton during the Sussexes' expected trip to the U.K. The effort is said to be part of a wider attempt to improve family relations after years of public tension. While no meeting has been confirmed, insiders claim Harry believes the timing could finally be right for an honest conversation.
Prince Harry has apparently urged Meghan Markle to make the first move toward repairing her relationship with Kate Middleton. According to reports, the Sussexes are expected to travel to Britain with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet between July 7 and July 11.
Unsurprisingly, much of the attention has focused on the family's return to the U.K. Now, insiders claim Harry has another hope for the visit. As per one source, the Duke has been "gently encouraging Meghan to make the first move." Harry, the source added, believes Middleton "would be receptive" if the pair were willing to sit down and "clear the air" (via Star Magazine).
Furthermore, the insider claimed Harry still has "a huge amount of love and respect" for the Princess of Wales. More importantly, the source alleged he believes she is not someone who "holds onto bitterness forever." Consequently, Harry is said to feel there is still a chance to rebuild trust, even after years of public tension.
At the same time, the report suggests he is keeping his expectations realistic. The source said Harry does not believe one conversation will solve everything. Instead, he allegedly sees it as an opportunity to "get the ball rolling in the right direction."
