One of the biggest recruitment battles of the month will culminate on Monday with Michigan State and Illinois finding out which school Don Spillers will be attending.
Spillers, a Detroit (MI) native, is a 6-foot-2, 195 pound athlete that has the opportunity to play both defensive back and wide receiver at the next level. For the Spartans, they like Spillers at safety, while Illinois is pushing the Detroit native as a wide receiver. A 3-star product that ranks No. 13 in the state of Michigan, Spillers is a standout at Martin Luther King High School.
The Spartans and Fighting Illini are in the final two among an offer list that also includes Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Pitt and Purdue. The commitment will be made at 2 p.m. at King on Monday.
