Max Holloway will go from fighting Conor McGregor at featherweight to rematching him at welterweight.
Holloway (27-9 MMA, 23-9 UFC) welcomes McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) back to the octagon in the UFC 329 main event on July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (Paramount+).
The bout will take place at 170 pounds, a weight Holloway never competed at, but McGregor did twice.
"My thoughts on the fight being at 170 was like, who cares?" Holloway said on his YouTube channel. "Weight is just a number. Real gladiators back in the day, they didn't walk around with a scale. You show up and you fight, and I'm a fighter. That's what I do – open weight class, whatever weight class. I'm glad I get to share the octagon with him."
McGregor defeated Holloway in their first fight which took place at 145 pounds in 2013. Both went onto become UFC champions, but "Blessed" says the stakes are different this time.
