Kate Middleton and King Charles united for the first time for a major event since revealing their cancer diagnoses in 2024. The Princess of Wales joined King Charles and Queen Camilla at a reception commemorating the 125th anniversary of Cancer Research U.K. The King is still undergoing treatment. The King has also been a patron of Cancer Research U.K. since 2024.
Kate Middleton and King Charles got together to celebrate a cancer charity’s milestone anniversary after announcing their cancer diagnoses in 2024. In their first major joint event together, Kate and Charles attended a reception at St. James’s Palace in London commemorating the 125th anniversary of Cancer Research U.K. on June 2, 2026.
Queen Camilla and the Duke and ****** ss of Gloucester also joined them at the event (via PEOPLE).
As of today, King Charles continues to undergo treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer. He first announced the diagnosis in February 2024. Meanwhile, Kate, Princess of Wales, publicly announced her cancer diagnosis in March 2024. Kate’s form of cancer has also remained undisclosed. She reportedly finished her treatment in December 2024.
At Tuesday’s event, Kate and Charles met researchers, clinicians, volunteers, and others involved in Cancer Research U.K.’s prevention, diagnosis, and treatment plans. King Charles has been a patron of Cancer Research U.K. since 2024.
