Iowa women's basketball added another name to its 2027 targets as the Hawkeyes offered point guard prospect Santana Sabus.
The 5-foot-9 native of Arvada, Colo., stars for Ralston Valley High School and the Hardwood Elite Adidas 3-Stripes Select AAU program, where she is rated as the No. 4 prospect and No. 1 point guard in the state, according to Prep Girls Hoops' 2027 Colorado rankings.
During her junior season, Sabus averaged 23.7 points on 51% shooting and 35% from 3-point range, along with 10.1 rebounds, 3.9 steals, 3.8 ******* ists, and 1.0 blocks in 24 games, per MaxPreps.
Along with Iowa, Sabus has garnered scholarship invitations from Colorado, Kansas, and Washington State.
Four-star combo guard Jada Seubert is Iowa's only 2027 commit so far, but Sabus joins a group of four other prospects who are still considering the Hawkeyes, including forwards Sienna Williams, Nation Williams, and Destiny Manyawu, and center Khalia Hartwell.

Pressure built further on FIFA president Gianni Infantino over his handling of the now shelved private investment plan on Thursday with European football's governing body UEFA reiterating their threat of boycotting the World Cups.
Infantino may have thought he had bought some time when he received the "full support" of senior FIFA directors following an emergency meeting in Morocco on Wednesday but he was to be disabused of that by UEFA's blunt statement.
UEFA's initial threat issued last Thursday to boycott FIFA competitions is widely credited to being pivotal in the plan being shelved.
Infantino has come under increasing pressure, even from within his organisation, over his handling of the proposal, and calls for him to step down had grown since he abandoned it last Saturday.
FIFA floated the plan, saying it could raise up to $4.2 billion based on a valuation of $20 billion for a new commercial subsidiary, called the FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE), which it proposed would run events such as the World Cup and Club World Cup.

July 1 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh said on Wednesday that while he has not changed his mind that a large central bank balance sheet should be ‌shrunk, any notable change in policy on this matter will take time and be well ‌communicated.
"Decisions will be well deliberated publicly, well understood, and will not be implemented until financial markets have come to understand what those are," Warsh said at a European Central Bank event in Sintra, Portugal.
"It took us about 18 years to find our way into this big balance sheet, which again, in my biased view, borders on fiscal policy" and it will take some time to figure out where things go next. "I'm open-minded ‌on the question -- we're not going to prejudge it, but I want interest rate policy" to be the main tool used by the central bank, the official said.
"My four weeks at the Fed haven't disabused me of that idea" that Fed holdings should be smaller, Warsh said.
Warsh returned to the Fed in May after an extended period of criticizing the central bank for the expansive size of its balance sheet, which is now at $6.7 trillion. That's down from the $9 trillion peak hit in 2022 but it ‌remains much larger than the $4.2 trillion seen just ahead of the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and the sub trillion dollar size seen before the onset of the financial crisis two decades ago.
