Billionaire tech investor Vinod Khosla has been named the Seattle Seahawks' new owner behind a massive $9.6 billion sale on August 26th. Yesterday, Khosla, alongside his family, gave his very first press conference; it's fair to say it was an unforgettable introduction to the new owner.
The Seahawks are coming off a triumphant Super Bowl championship last year and look to maintain momentum by introducing their new owner to Seahawks fans. Rather, Khosla gave a perfect example of "what not to do during your opening press conference as the new Seahawks owner," Barstool Sports posted on X.
"I also happened to come to this country in '76 when the Steelers were winning the Super Bowl, so actually I was originally and still am a big Steelers fan. Also, little-known fact, but I still watch all the Steelers games too," Khosla cheerfully said.
Barstool Sports personality Hubbs commented on the matter sarcastically.
"Jack Bauer couldn't have gotten that information out of me if he had a gun pointed at my knee and was threatening my family's safety. Just no need at all to put that out there. Now, is it earth-shattering and detrimental that the Seahawks owner is a big Steelers fan? No, not really. It'd be worse if the Seahawks hadn't won a Super Bowl since losing to Pittsburgh in 2006, but thankfully for them, they have," Hubbs wrote for Barstool Sports.

Welcome to Tuesday A’s fans! It’s All-Star Game Day!
But before we get to the game, the Athletics made a move yesterday afternoon, letting go of pitching coach Scott Emerson and promoting bullpen coach Dan Hubbs to take over for the rest of the year:
The move couldn’t come soon enough. The team is currently second to last in the entire sport in ERA, ahead of only the Colorado Rockies who play in the most hitter-friendly stadium in the world. A’s pitchers have had to pitch in their own hitter-friendly environment over the past season and a half but the pitching has been a problem for a while now, going back to the final Oakland years.
Emerson, who has been the pitching coach since mid-2017, has been given talented arms over the years but the Athletics have struggled to develop many quality arms in recent seasons. Righty J.T. Ginn has been a success story this year but outside of him many of the younger arms have failed to establish themselves. Veteran arms like Jeffrey Springs and Luis Severino haven’t benefitted from any coaching that Emerson has done. There was a hope that as the offense came into its own that the pitching would soon follow but that hasn’t happened. A’s fans were calling for Emerson to be let go and the team has finally followed through on it.
Bullpen coach Dan Hubbs is replacing Emerson the same way Emerson got the job from Curt Young in ‘17. He likely isn’t a long-term option and the team will surely be on the lookout this offseason for pitching coaches, but the team needed to make a move. Maybe he can help provide a spark for the young arms over the second half. There have been some solid individual performances down in the bullpen.

The Athletics were .500 and a half game out of first place in the AL West just about three weeks ago after they staged a comeback, 10-inning win over the Los Angeles Angels on June 19. Now at the All-Star break, the A's are staring at a 41-55 record. They're fourth in the AL West and eight games back of the division-leading Texas Rangers.
They're 3-17 in their past 20 games, losers of 13 of their last 14 and currently mired in a nine-game skid. Looking to snap out of their midsummer malaise, the A's made a staff change Monday, firing longtime pitching coach Scott Emerson.
The Athletics rank second to last in the majors with a 5.21 ERA this season. Only the Colorado Rockies (5.44) are worse in that often fateful category. Of the A's last 17 losses, 11 of them have featured their opponents scoring six or more runs.
The A’s have dismissed pitching coach Scott Emerson. Bullpen coach Dan Hubbs will serve as interim pitching coach for the remainder of the 2026 season.
It's important to note, however, that the Athletics have had a hitter-friendly home ballpark since moving into a Triple-A stadium last year, Sacramento's Sutter Health Park. That's certainly factored into the A's settling near the bottom of MLB's ERA table, next to the Rockies, who of course carry the double-edged sword of playing at the high-altitude and power-charged Coors Field in Denver.

Drake's longtime ******* ociate Chubbs appears to have weighed in on the growing controversy surrounding Sauce Walka after alleged audio surfaced online containing threats directed at the Toronto superstar.
On Monday, a screenshot circulating on social media showed Chubbs commenting under a post from the Instagram page keep6ixsolid discussing the leaked allegations. Reacting to claims that Sauce Walka had threatened Drake, Chubbs dismissed the situation with three crying laughing emo j**z and a blunt response: "N***a ain't gone do nothing."
The latest development comes amid an increasingly messy public dispute involving Sauce Walka and the mother of his child, Houston-based content creator Kiley Lossen.

Over the weekend, Lossen shared a series of Instagram posts and alleged screenshots aimed at the Houston rapper. She also included audio of a man purported to be Sauce Walka who can be heard using explicit language while discussing Lossen, their child, and Drake. The recording also included alleged threats directed toward the OVO Sound founder. Lossen later claimed that she and Drake had been romantically involved in 2024.
