Dolly Parton was laid to rest in a private funeral attended by her family, the Queen of Country's great-niece, Lainey Mae Parton, confirmed in an emotional tribute.
On Saturday, August 29 Lainey took to Instagram with a carousel of photos featuring her late aunt. Dolly died at 80 on August 25, following a "brief battle with cancer," and was laid to rest on Friday, August 28.
"This is a really hard post for me to make," Lainey began her post. "I wanted to wait until after my granny was laid to rest yesterday before I tried to put any of this into words."
She continued, "From the time I was little, my granny always had a way of making me feel like I was enough. She never made my dreams feel too big or made me feel like I couldn't do something. She believed in me before I even knew how to believe in myself."
Toward the end of her lengthy post, Dolly's niece admitted, "It still doesn't feel real that she's gone. I'm going to miss her voice, her laugh, her hugs, and just knowing she was there. I'm even going to miss those 4 AM calls, and I'd give anything to see her name pop up on my phone again."

In an interview with Esquire, the Spider-Man: Brand New Day star was asked about the AI images that circulated purporting to be from their wedding. He said the images confused his granny, who thought she hadn't been invited.
The reporter then asked whether he had to reach out to other family members to explain the photos, to which he paused then replied, "No, because they were all there."
When the reporter said they didn't realize the wedding had happened already, Holland firmly responded, "That's all you'll get on that."
