When Moreno requested people in the audience stand up if they had controversial beliefs or actions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and may have faced backlash for those beliefs or actions, Ingraham stood.
"All you have to do is look up from your lawyers and look at the people who were absolutely shamed for saying what we know now to be the truth," Moreno told Fauci during the hearing.
Ingraham, as the COVID-19 pandemic was raging in the U.S., criticized the use of coronavirus vaccines and said that Americans should not have to receive them.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, conservatives often raged against public health measures and advice meant to protect against the virus, including masking and vaccinations.

Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch said in a recent interview that the U.S. was not founded on "one race or one religion," pushing back on arguments made by conservatives such as Vice President Vance.
"We were founded, a lot of our colonies, for our religious pluralism, right? And the opportunity to practice your own faith in your own way," Gorsuch told PBS host Margaret Hoover in an episode of "Firing Line" published Friday.
"And we were never supposed to be a nation that was about one race or one religion, it was about those ideas," he added, referring to America's founding principles of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. "And those things are perfect ideas that speak to every human heart and that unite us all."
Vance, who converted to Catholicism in 2019, touted his view in December that Christianity provided the prevailing ideals for the founding and continuation of the country.
"I'm not saying you have to be a Christian to be an American. I'm saying something simpler and truer: Christianity is America's creed, the shared moral language from the Revolution to the Civil War and beyond," the vice president said at Turning Point USA's annual "AmericaFest" event.

Actor James Woods said he is worried the recent "Muslim invasion" of the USA will be the point where historians look back and say the country took a nosedive into ****** .
He shared his concern about the rise of Islam during a Monday interview on right-wing pundit Benny Johnson's show.
Woods — one of the few outspoken conservatives in Hollywood — said he believed the election of democratic socialist and Muslim Zohran Mamdani (D) as New York City's mayor was "the most dangerous event" in modern American history. He said it signaled the downfall of the nation.
"Look, I think America is the greatest human endeavor in the history of humankind. I think it's in terrible trouble. I mean, the city where the World Trade Center and the people in it were slaughtered and destroyed, how you could ever allow this Muslim invasion and cancer?" Woods asked.
"And they say, 'What are you, prejudiced?' Well, yes. I'm sorry to say it," he continued.

New York City socialist mayor Zohran Mamdani was widely mocked by conservatives on social media Tuesday after announcing that one of his campaign platforms, arresting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, isn't a tool he has at his disposal.
In a video post on X that was viewed over 36 million times, Mamdani called Netanyahu a "war criminal" while conceding that New York City could not enforce the International Criminal Court's warrant for the Israeli leader's arrest on its own despite the mayor saying he had looked at exploring avenues to do so.
Mamdani has often said on the campaign trail and as mayor that he wanted to arrest Netanyahu over what the mayor calls a "genocide" in Gaza.
While Mamdani's post was well received by many on the political left, conservatives on social media quickly mocked the mayor over the situation while taking issue with his determination to enforce the ICC warrant, which the United States government does not recognize.

New York City socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani is facing criticism online over a news conference where a local housing advocate claimed evictions are a form of "violence" as the mayor stood behind her.

The Mamdani administration is emboldening us so we no longer tolerate the violence of evictions as a matter of business as usual," Antonia Marrero, a member of the Housing Organizers for People Empowerment (HOPE) Tenant Union, said during a news conference Thursday.

House conservatives bristled this week over the Senate's refusal to pass the SAVE America Act — the GOP elections bill that President Donald Trump has called his "No. 1 priority" in Congress — and shut down the floor in protest.
Their outrage has obscured an inconvenient truth for the Republicans locking arms with the president to push for the bill: It can't even pass the House — at least not the version Trump is pushing.
Speaker Mike Johnson acknowledged as much this week, appearing to concede he does not have the votes to move forward with a drastic crackdown on mailed ballots that Trump has repeatedly demanded this year.
Instead, Johnson and other House leaders have stuck with an older version of the SAVE America Act that focuses on proof-of-citizenship requirements but otherwise lets states run their elections as they see fit.
"I'm going to do everything I can with the vote tallies that we have," he said when asked by a POLITICO reporter if a Trump-style approach to mail voting could come to the floor.

The House Rules Committee on Monday advanced the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), a must-pass defense bill, sending it to the floor for consideration.
The committee, by a vote of 8-4 along party lines, reported out a rule that would merge the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE America) Act with the NDAA in a special process known as "MIRVing."
Several conservative hard-liners previously said they would oppose a procedural rule that would tee up a debate and final vote on legislation until action is taken on the SAVE America Act — and Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) announced the plan as a way to appease the holdouts.
But the real test will be whether conservatives will support the procedural rule Tuesday. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), a vocal advocate of the SAVE America Act, wrote on the social platform X on Monday that the Senate could strip out the voting rights measure from the NDAA.
She also wrote after the Rules Committee hearing, "MIRV ref NDAA won't work."

Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett faced the wrath of conservatives on social media on Monday after she authored the majority opinion ruling in favor of a Mississippi law allowing mail-in ballots to be counted in elections even if they are received after Election Day.
The court was split 5-4 on the ruling with Barrett, appointed by President Donald Trump, writing the majority opinion joined by Chief Justice John Roberts, as well as justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson.
Barrett's opinion held that Election Day, in the context of federal law, set a deadline for when voters must make a choice regarding their preferred candidate but said that relevant laws have no standard for when ballots must be received to be considered valid.

Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson said concerns about wealthy residents and businesses leaving Washington over rising taxes are "overblown" during an interview on Wednesday.
"So today, do you still feel the narrative of the rich leaving is still overblown," FOX 13 Seattle co-anchor Hana Kim asked Wilson.
"So, I still think that claims of a large exodus of rich people due to our statewide millionaire tax that the legislature passed this year are overblown," Wilson responded with a chuckle. "I do believe that."

Expecting any level of ideological consistency from partisan political actors is a fool's errand; even so, the amount of sheer hypocrisy generated by the Graham Platner scandal is striking.
In response to fresh allegations that Platner, the presumptive Democratic candidate for Senate in Maine, was abusive in his past relationships, conservatives who in the past have been correctly discerning of the motivations behind certain **** ual misconduct claims are now heralding these accusations as all but confirmed. In fact, they have **** ailed The New York Times, which published a detailed story about Platner's dating history and alleged violent episodes, for not going further in its indictment.
Meanwhile, many Democrats who gleefully and uncritically embraced the "believe all women" mantra of the #MeToo era are broadly dismissive of the Times story, even though the evidence of wrongdoing is arguably more compelling in this case.
What do I mean by that? The central accusation unfurled by the Times comes from Lyndsey Fifield, who dated Platner from 2013 to 2015. Fifield is a Republican activist, which is probably enough reason for some people to be dismissive of the claims — her partisan reasons for raising issues about Platner's behavior and character are obvious. Nevertheless, Fifield claims that Platner often grabbed her, dragged her, and shoved her during arguments and when he was drinking; he once "twisted her arm behind her back, shoved her into a bedroom and held the door closed from the other side so she couldn't get out," she told the Times. Fifield denied that he ever seriously hurt her, instead characterizing his behavior as "rough."
In an appearance on MSNBC last week, Platner strongly denied that any of these altercations took place, though he has conceded to being a bad boyfriend in the past and has chalked this up to psychological trauma from his service as a U.S. Marine.
