Monday’s reports claim that it is now a ‘done deal’ for former Manchester United head coach to replace Massimiliano Allegri at the helm of Milan.
According to reports from Sky Sport Italia, transfer expert Matteo Moretto and various other outlets, Amorim will sign an initial two-year contract with Milan, running until the summer of 2028, with an option to extend for a further 12 months until the summer of 2029.
Moretto adds that the documents will be formalised within the next few hours.
Reports earlier on Monday claimed that Milan had offered Amorim a salary of €3.5m per season plus bonuses linked to Champions League qualification.
Milan have been without a head coach since parting ways with Allegri the day after the 2025-26 season came to an end. The Rossoneri are also without a sporting director, technical director and CEO after dismissing Igli Tare, Geoffrey Moncada and Giorgio Furlani on the same day as Allegri.

Germany swept aside tiny Curacao at the World Cup on Sunday, thrashing the debutants 7-1 in Houston while the Iran team touched down in the United States.
Curacao, the smallest nation by population ever to qualify for the tournament, came face-to-face with the four-time winners and despite Livano Comenencia scoring an early equalizer to give his nation a historic first World Cup goal, they soon found the going tough.
Felix Nmecha opened the scoring for the Germans and despite the equalizer, they soon overran the blue shirts of Curacao, with Kai Havertz grabbing a double.
Despite their proud record in the competition, Germany have struggled in recent tournaments and this was the first time they had won their first opening match at a World Cup since they lifted the trophy in 2014.
"It took us a few minutes to get back into the game after they equalized. Curacao can play football too, as we saw, and I'm curious to see how they'll fare in the group going forward," said Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann.

Two days after deleting a pair of Instagram videos that criticized the 49ers for not releasing him, receiver Brandon Aiyuk is back on social media.

Combined with his decision to extend an olive branch by deleting the videos, it's hard not to wonder whether the 49ers have decided to abandon the effort to trade Aiyuk and to cut the cord in the coming days. That would avoid the awkward dance of Aiyuk showing up to training camp and forcing his release.
The 49ers have proven their point. By refusing to release Aiyuk and holding out hope for a trade, they've wiped out his ability to get up to speed through his new team's offseason program. At some point, rubbing Aiyuk's nose in it takes the team's eye off the bigger prize.
