For over a season and a half, New Iberia football hadn't won a game. On Sept. 11, all of that changed as the Yellowjackets bulldozed Vill Platte for the sweetest 60-6 victory they've ever tasted.
"It means a lot; it's great seeing the smile on all of the kid's faces," NISH football coach Zi'yon Hill-Green said. "I remember back in the summer, I preached about competing and showing up every day, and that's what they have been doing. We needed that confidence boost."

The win also marked the first win of the Hill-Green era, snapping NISH's 18-game losing streak.
All offseason long, the goal for new head coach Hill-Green and his staff was to revive the hive by way of rebuilding the program's foundation.
