UCF starting quarterback Alonza Barnett III will miss multiple weeks with a hamstring injury suffered late in the fourth quarter of the team's Sept. 12 loss at Pittsburgh, according to a report from ESPN's Pete Thamel.
Barnett sustained the injury scrambling away from pressure on the Knights' final offensive possession.
Keyone Jenkins entered for the final play and took a sack, sealing the Panthers' 12-7 win at Acrisure Stadium. Jenkins is in line to start against Georgia State at 7 p.m. Sept. 19.
Barnett completed 63.3% of his passes the first two weeks, throwing for 344 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
This is a developing story. Check back for more updates.
