It doesn't look like Jacksonville Jaguars' wide receiver Parker Washington will have a new contract prior to the regular season starting.
According to Cameron Wolfe of the NFL Network, it is "unlikely" that a new deal will get done by the start of the season.
Washington is set to enter the final year of his rookie deal, and he is currently slated to be a free agent during the 2027 offseason.
Wolfe added that the Jaguars explored a deal in the Michael Wilson's range after he signed a three-year, $75 million extension with Arizona recently. However, Jacksonville and Washington could not come to terms.
It’s “unlikely” Jaguars & WR Parker Washington agree to a contract extension by start of season, per source.
I’m told Jags explored deal in Cardinals’ Michael Wilson range (3-year, $75M) but no deal for now.
