The high school games have just started, and the local teams are hoping to get off on the right foot.
There were several season-opening football games, and a number of Nantucket-Martha's Vineyard rivalry games.
The weather cooperated and it was a nice day for games.

Sandwich 47, Upper Cape 8: The Blue Knights (1-0) rolled with an explosive offense to beat the Rams (0-1).
