Dolly Parton's sister is still protecting her privacy.
When the country star died at 80 on August 25, her representatives confirmed to People that she died after a "brief battle with cancer," but did not clarify which kind.
"That was her business," Stella Parton told Gayle King during a CBS Mornings interview released on Thursday, September 10. "But she didn't tell us that we could say it."
"So, out of respect for her, I can talk about my love for her and describe who she is to me," the 77-year-old continued, "but it's not my business to tell her business."
