Millwall host Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup third round on Tuesday, with the Magpies looking to build on an unbeaten start under new head coach Matthias Jaissle against a Championship side finding some form of their own.
Alex Neil's Lions arrive full of confidence after thrashing Bolton Wanderers 4-0 at The Den at the weekend, while Newcastle sit seventh in the Premier League having drawn two of their opening three matches.
Jaissle replaced Eddie Howe as Newcastle's head coach in August and has overseen an unbeaten start despite the summer departures of Bruno Guimarães, Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon. He has already been warned about the atmosphere awaiting him at The Den, joking he will be "protected" in his technical area, and is still weighing up how far to rotate his side with a demanding run of fixtures ahead. Tuesday's tie will be the first meeting between the two clubs since 1993, when Newcastle won 2-1.

Millwall have a lengthy absentee list of their own, with Josh Coburn, Casper De Norre, Tristan Crama, Ryan Leonard, Mihailo Ivanovic and Mathis Servais all out through injury. Alex Neil is expected to make changes from the side that thrashed Bolton, with Danny Batth, Jake Cooper and Elkan Baggott possible inclusions in defence and Lyndon ***** s handed a chance to lead the line.
