The Boston Red Sox will have Trevor Story back in the starting lineup Friday night as they attempt to secure another important road victory over the Baltimore Orioles. Boston revealed its lineup for the second game of the four-game series at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Story will start at shortstop and bat eighth after sitting out Thursday's 6-5 victory.
Isiah Kiner-Falefa started at shortstop in the series opener but will move to the bench Friday. Story's return represents the only change to the batting order submitted by Red Sox interim manager Chad Tracy. Ceddanne Rafaela remains out because of tightness in his right quadriceps. Rafaela is considered day-to-day, but his absence will extend to a second consecutive game. Eli White will start in center field and bat ninth.
Roman Anthony will lead off as Boston's designated hitter, followed by Mickey Gasper at first base. Adley Rutschman will catch and bat third one night after delivering his biggest performance since joining the Red Sox. Rutschman homered twice Thursday in his first game back at Camden Yards following the blockbuster trade that sent him from Baltimore to Boston on Aug. 3. His two solo shots helped the Red Sox capture the series opener and improve to 76-65.
