Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has issued a strong warning to his players as the team braces to face Real Betis on Friday at Estadio de La Cartuja.
'The Special One', who returned for his second stint at Madrid this year in June, is leaving no stone unturned to ensure a strong 2026 La Liga season for Los Blancos. Mourinho isn't letting the team's strong start, having won three out of three games, get into the players' heads, which is why he has already warned his team about the Betis challenge.

As the team braces for Friday's challenge, Mourinho said in the press conference that it has to be a great Real Madrid otherwise the team won't win. He further lauded the Betis team while acknowledging Madrid's recent good results. He also warned his team that winning at Betis' backyard won't be easy.
"It has to be a great Real Madrid, otherwise, they won't win," Mourinho said. "Betis, as you say, is a very good team. Real Madrid's recent results there speak for themselves . It is difficult to win there. To win, you have to be at your very best level. There is no other way," he concluded.
