There, she met professionals from various classes, including those aged 55 and over, those undergoing cancer treatments, and people from underprivileged backgrounds. During her visit, she also handed over the Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Award to Christopher Wheeldon, OBE.
Following their royal engagements, they then headed to the British Museum, where they were also joined by French President Emmanuel Macron and first lady Brigitte Macron. Moreover, U.K. Prime Minister Andy Burnham and his wife, Marie-France van Heel, were also present at the museum.
In this visit, they viewed the Bayeux Tapestry, which showcases the Norman conquest of England. The tapestry was loaned to the UK for the first time since its creation, and in exchange, the country promised to send some national treasures to France (via PEOPLE).
