Actor Tim Curry's cause of death has been released a week after his death.
The actor's primary cause of death was coronary artery disease, People reported Sept. 2, citing the documents from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. Other contributing conditions were a history of stroke and kidney cancer.
Coronary heart disease is the most common type of heart disease in the U.S. Heart disease is the leading cause of death nationwide.
Curry, who is best known for his roles in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" and "It," died Tuesday, Aug. 25, at the age of 80, his representative Sean Katz confirmed to USA TODAY.
"Tim Curry, the iconic actor and entertainer globally beloved for his dynamic contributions to the stage and screen, passed away peacefully at his home in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles," the statement read.
