The 2026 summer transfer window closed this Tuesday in Europe. Several last-gasp deals were made official... or collapsed late last night or overnight, while we were all already asleep.
OneFootball brings you a recap of the major announcements from the night:
- Double thunderbolt for Monaco! Lamine Camara will ultimately not be joining Chelsea, just as Folarin Balogun will not be signing for Everton either! AS Monaco cancelled the deal for the Senegal international just when they thought they had finally managed to sell their American striker. Chelsea are furious, and the Monégasques have just waved goodbye to around €100 million. (Fabrizio Romano, RMC, Foot Mercato)
- After an endless saga and absurd twists and turns, Malick Fofana has finally signed for Sunderland. The transfer fee is estimated at €35 million including bonuses.
- Quinten Timber has left OM for Crystal Palace in a deal estimated at €20 million.
