A day after announcing their initial 53-man roster, the Houston Texans were not awarded any players off the NFL's waiver wire Monday.
After sifting through hundreds of players who had been cut Sunday evening, the Texans opted to not put in a claim on any players from other teams, a person with knowledge of the situation told the Houston Chronicle.
Meanwhile, offensive lineman Jarrett Kingston, whom the Texans cut Sunday but had hoped to bring back to their practice squad, was claimed by the Miami Dolphins.
For now, the Texans' 53-man roster will remain relatively the same as it was at the NFL's deadline.
The Texans do plan to sign edge rusher Dominique Robinson to a one-year deal Tuesday, the source said. To make room for Robinson, Houston needs to make a corresponding move.
