The Washington Commanders have completed training camp and the preseason. It was a rough final week for the Commanders, who struggled in Wednesday's joint practice with the Baltimore Ravens before losing 41-3 in the final preseason game.
With the preseason behind them, all of the attention now turns to general manager Adam Peters, who must trim Washington's roster from 90 players to 53 before then turning his attention to the practice squad. Peters has plenty of work to do. Will he look outside the organization for offensive line depth?
The Commanders will face some difficult decisions. Will they keep six or seven wide receivers? Is former third-round pick Luke McCaffrey on the roster bubble? Does Peters keep both rookie running backs? How many cornerbacks? Several starters are battling injuries ahead of Week 1. How will that impact Washington's initial 53-man roster?
We're tracking the Commanders' roster cuts as they happen before Sunday's deadline. Stay tuned to this page for updates.
