The Miami Heat have one spot left on their roster for the upcoming season, and they are going to choose wisely. Over the last week, the organization has ***** embled a dangerous team with plenty of playoff and Finals experience.
Miami likes the roster it has built for the season, but the team is also excited about the opportunity to add another veteran. The Minnesota Timberwolves waived a veteran on Friday night who could be a great option for the Heat.
"The Minnesota Timberwolves have traded Josh Green and cash to the Utah Jazz for Cody Williams and John Konchar, the teams announced Saturday. The Timberwolves are expected to keep Williams, the No. 10 pick in 2024, and waive-and-stretch Konchar, sources told ESPN. Saturday is the final day to waive a player and stretch out his guaranteed salary over multiple seasons," ESPN's Shams Charania wrote.
Konchar being released gives the Heat another potential player to pursue. NBA insider Brett Siegel believes Miami is likely to have interest in him.
