Red Sox 'Unlikely' to Show Interest in 2013 Champion as Head Coach originally appeared on NESN. Add NESN as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Boston Red Sox still have Chad Tracy on an interim tag as manager after moving on from Alex Cora a few months ago and giving Tracy the job.
The Red Sox are making the right decision by letting this play out, since there's really no reason to rush. The Red Sox have to make the best possible decision for themselves, Tracy, and the organization as a whole.
Tracy has done a very good job and is a candidate to keep, but ultimately, the Red Sox have to feel comfortable with every decision they make.
As for other potential candidates, it doesn't sound like there are many for the Red Sox to really go after. Boston has spoken to other names, according to reports, but a guy like Carlos Mendoza and former Chicago Cubs skipper David Ross aren't viewed as options right now.
