DETROIT — Tigers All-Star outfielder Riley Greene is trending toward a return to the lineup, though manager AJ Hinch isn't ready to put an exact timetable on that. If all goes well, he could return this week during the home stand.
Greene was back in the Comerica Park clubhouse Monday afternoon, Aug. 24, ahead of the opener of a three-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays.
More: Tigers sign reliever Tyler Kinley; Ty Madden heads to Toledo
Greene was doing some outfield drills before the game. He had been rehabbing in Lakeland, Florida.
"Hot," Greene said with a smile, when asked how Lakeland went.
