Ruby Rose is defending her late friend Hayden Panettiere after sharing what she says are private text messages between the two women.
Rose shared screenshots on Threads this week that appear to show a conversation with Panettiere, who died August 16 at age 36. The messages concern Panettiere's relationship with her mother, Lesley Vogel, and surfaced after Vogel spoke publicly about her daughter's death and her concerns about Brian Hickerson.
In one screenshot, a person saved as "Hayden" appeared to describe being deeply hurt by her mother's behavior.
"I was sobbing over her cruelty yesterday thinking, my god I'm 36 and she can still cause this kind of pain," the message reads, according to the screenshots Rose shared.
