The Cowboys are signing 37-year-old eight-time Pro Bowl linebacker Von Miller, according to a report late Sunday from ESPN's Adam Schefter and later confirmed by the team. A first-round draft pick out of Texas A&M in 2011, Miller has played with four different teams previously, most recently the Washington Commanders last season, when he tallied nine sacks.
Miller already considers the Dallas area home and owns a poultry farm in nearby DeSoto. He has been lobbying for a spot on the Cowboys roster during this offseason, even creating a series of social media posts to help apply pressure on the organization.
On Sunday, he posted a photoshopped image of himself wearing a Cowboys uniform and sporting the No. 40 jersey. His caption read, "Dallas! Let's make this one Special!"
Currently sitting just outside the NFL's all-time top 10 in sacks, the MVP of Super Bowl 50 brings a wealth of experience and veteran leadership to the revamped Dallas defense under first-year coordinator Christian Parker (who Miller crossed paths with in Denver).
