On the August 7 episode of SmackDown, Green suffered an injury during her match, which saw her team with Tiffany Stratton against Laney Reid and Fallon Henley of Fatal Influence. The finish saw Chelsea take the Rolling Encore – Reid and Henley's finishing move – and while it looked fine at the time, Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio reported that Reid landed on Green's face, breaking her orbital bone.
Green confirmed the injury the next day on Instagram, saying that she "needed time to process" the injury. She was still wearing the ******* le belt over her shoulder though, and WWE has yet to confirm whether or not Green will be required to vacate the Interim WWE Women's Championship.
