Having performed tremendously for Liverpool during their pre-season programme, teenage defender Ifeanyi Ndukwe has reportedly been the subject of 'strong offers' from several clubs around Europe.
The 18-year-old was given his chance in the first team by Andoni Iraola due to the absences of senior centre-backs and he firmly grasped it, turning in some excellent displays and being hailed by James Pearce as 'so composed and commanding'.
However, with the teenager not qualifying for a UK work permit, he'll need to leave Anfield on loan in order to play regularly at senior level this season. We recently covered an explanation as to how the process of earning points for a Governing Body Endorsement (GBE) works.
In the latest edition of The Athletic's Transfer DealSheet, Gregg Evans and Pearce touched upon the next steps for Ndukwe, who's unsurprisingly attracting plenty of attention from clubs around the continent given that he can't play competitively for Liverpool as of yet.
They wrote: 'Ifeanyi Ndukwe is expected to leave after the friendly with Como on Sunday. The 18-year-old Austrian centre-back has impressed this summer and is weighing up strong offers from Portugal, Germany and Denmark while other clubs in Belgium, France and Spain remain interested.
