Mauricio Umansky is pondering his political future.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 56, opened up about his political aspirations during the Monday, August 10, episode of the Money Rehab podcast, where he revealed that he's thought a lot about running for mayor of Los Angeles.
"I'm not running for mayor yet. I never said never," Umansky said Monday. "Maybe one day. I've thought about it a lot, but not yet… I'm a registered independent, and I believe in the middle. I think we've lost the middle. I think it's kind of gone, which is kind of sad."
The Agency cofounder said he'd like to bring that "middle" back to American politics amid such an "extremist" period in the country's history, telling host Nicole Lapin that there needs to be a push for "finding balance and finding that middle again."
Joking that he'd like to "make L.A. great again," Umansky said that he believes Los Angeles could benefit from a dose of the "Reaganomics" made famous by the late California governor and former president Ronald Reagan.
