Rodrigo De Paul scored an excellent goal for Inter Miami against Monterrey on Saturday, but that was not the biggest story.
Inter Miami and Argentina captain Lionel Messi missed the Leagues Cup game following his father, Jorge's, death on Friday.
Messi immediately travelled home to Rosario with his wife and children to support his family after their heartbreaking loss.
The Inter Miami players all wore black armbands to pay respect to Jorge, and De Paul dedicated his goal celebration to him.
