WORCESTER -- Adley Rutschman collected his first hit as a member of the Red Sox organization on Saturday as he went 1-for-2 with a pair of walks in his first rehab game.
"[The wrist] felt good; I was very happy with how it's been responding and feeling," Rutschman said. "I think in rehab games, they want to see you try and sprint a little bit, use the arm and throw the ball around; that's always good. Just getting ABs and seeing pitches."
Rutschman caught five innings and got up to bat four times, hitting a two-run double down the right-field line, drawing a pair of walks and popping out to left. He also threw out a baserunner and scored for the WooSox.
The catcher, who was acquired from Baltimore at the trade deadline, has been on the injured list since July 20 with left wrist inflammation.
He said he has no answer on when he will be activated, but the wrist is moving in a positive direction.
