The New England Patriots hosted guard Greg Van Roten on a visit Thursday morning, according to a report from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and ESPN.
A free agent since March, Van Roten spent the past two seasons with the New York Giants. The 36-year-old has started 105 games on the interior offensive line during his NFL run, including 51 in a row. He spent the previous two campaigns with the New York Giants, finishing both as the organization's ironman and logging a career-high 1,150 offensive snaps in 2025.
Originally entering the league as an undrafted free agent out of Penn in 2012, Van Roten has also been a member of the Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, Jacksonville Jaguars, Carolina Panthers, New York Jets, Buffalo Bills and Las Vegas Raiders. A CFL stint arrived along the way with the Toronto Argonauts.
Primarily a right guard, the 6-foot-4, 295-pound former All-Ivy League offensive tackle has also eclipsed 2,000 downs between left guard and center.
